Sorry for the large paste but if someone knows how to hide text until clicked I would appreciate the knowledge :)īelow is a list with corresponding wine version that works, i use playonlinux to use different games and different wine versionsīirthright Gorgons Alliance - 1.2.1-ddrawĬivilisation 3 - 1.2.2 (xinit /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux -run "Civilization 3" %F - :1 -ac -depth 16)Ĭricket 2000 - 1.5.0 (xinit /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux -run "Cricket 2000" %F - :1 -ac -depth 16)Ĭutthroats Terror On The High Seas - 1.5.0ĭune 2000 - 1.5.31 (xinit /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux -run "Dune 2000" %F - :1 -ac -depth 16)įallout - 1.5.25 (xinit /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux -run "Fallout" %F - :1 -ac -depth 16)įallout 2 - 1.5.25 (xinit /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux -run "Fallout 2" %F - :1 -ac -depth 16) I am testing how much games this thing can play and support is very much all the information you will need should be on the app I have a collection of over 500 PC games all original from the 1997 - 2004 windows games era and many of them work Realgta (Mod pack for GTA 3, sudden drop in frame rate in GTA 3 after installing this modpack)Įdit: And yeah, if you guys have some recommendations on any other games that may work on this pc, please do tell me. Now the games that work, but with a poor frame rate:Ĭall Of Duty: United Offensive (wine, expansion pack of Call Of Duty, Medium Settings)ġ8 Wheels Of Steel: Haulin (wine, very low settings)ġ8 Wheels Of Steel: Pedal To The Metal (wine, very low settings) These where the games which worked with/without some tweaks. #Worms crazy golf fullscreen windowed softwareTorchlight (wine -also available as NATIVE in the software center) NFS: Underground(wine)(anything beyond that doesn't work) Max Payne(wine)(unfortunately Max Payne 2 doesn't work) The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind(PlayonLinux) So here's a list of the games that I've managed to get to work on Wine/Playonlinux(note: these are games which works great and has an FPS above 20): I say this because I've had previous experience with playing games on my old PC. Well most Linux native games work on an old PC but what if you want to play Windows games? You'll have to use Wine/Playonlinux but if your PC is old, then some games may not work on Linux even if it does on Windows. Thought i'll make a thread for all those Linux users out there who likes playing games but has a very poor PC.
